The Copernicus holiday home is located in Las Tricias on the ATHOS Star Campus, a finca entirely dedicated to observing the starry sky. The Copernicus house is about 50 metres from the main finca and can also be booked without using the available telescopes.
Las Tricias is one of the most beautiful areas of La Palma, with many hiking trails and accesses to the sea, prehistoric sites, the famous dragon tree valley, almond tree crops and a cosy plaza in the village centre.

Description

The Copernicus holiday home is situated in a small sheltered hollow next to the Astrofinca Athos with a view of the sea. In the secluded garden, guests will find avocado trees, fig bushes, pomegranates, almond trees and much more.
With its installations and rentable instruments, the finca offers ideal conditions for observing the night sky, especially for the ambitious amateur astronomer. The special location of the finca, the already magnificent view and the law of light smog, make Las Tricias one of the best places in Europe for astronomical observations.

The cottage is furnished to a high standard, has a well-equipped kitchen and a dining table in the light-flooded conservatory.
The bedroom is equipped with a double bed (2 x 200x80cm) and plenty of cupboards to store your holiday wardrobe.
The living room has a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings and firewood is also available. A small sofa bed can also be found there, in case an extra person needs to be accommodated.
There is a shower in the bathroom and an electric heater provides warmth after showering.

On the terrace, sun loungers, chairs and a table are available for relaxing in the secluded garden with a view of the lush nature of the island.
